Why LayerZero Could Be the Biggest Sleeping Giant in Crypto

About this episode

In this episode of Milk Road Crypto, John Gillen sits down with Simon Baksys, Chief Business Officer at LayerZero, to unpack the company’s much bigger vision: a new high-performance Layer 1, institutional onchain markets, a “headless” exchange called Atlas, AI-agent payments, and potentially trillions of dollars moving onchain. LayerZero already powers cross-chain infrastructure for major assets and institutions. Now, with Xero, the team is building a blockchain designed to handle up to millions of transactions per second - performance aimed not just at DeFi, but at capital markets and high-frequency trading. ~~~~~ 🚨Want to see what John’s actually buying? He just deployed a big chunk of his portfolio into alts, and Milk Road PRO members can see every move he’s making. Watch it inside Milk Road PRO for just $1! ~~~~~ 🚀 Trade, earn, and borrow in one place with Nexo, a trusted digital asset platform managing over $7B in assets! ~~~~~ 🔧 Tools & Channels 💼 Reach ambitious investors, builders & innovators. ~~~~~ ✊ Follow Milk Road on Social Media: 👉 Milk Road Twitter: https://link.milkroad.com/X 👉 Apple Podcasts: https://link.milkroad.com/apple-podcast ~~~~~ 🎙 GUEST INFO 🎙 Simon Baksys: https://x.com/Bakxys 📃 Disclaimer 📃 The information presented in this video is for educational and informational purposes only.
